Stoke's very own Andy Hamilton has shown his potential whilst practicing with good friend Phil Taylor and making his very own mark on the darts scene.
Andy's unique throwing action, moderate in speed and accurately consistent makes hamilton's darting game very hard to break down and a nightmare for other players.
A.Hamilton got his weapons into the action on the oche at the World Championships '05 where he made the last 8 players eventually losing 5 sets to 1 against the old gun slinger himself, darts legend Bob Anderson.
Hamilton was in the mix in 2007 in the darts championships once again where he beat Mark Dudbridge, Dennis Priestly and Terry Jenkins before being battered 6-0 in sets by Darts Legend Phil 'The Power' Taylor in the semi-final.
The Hammer made a great impact on the darts tournament in america - PDC US Open making it to the semi's but could not overcome Raymond Van Barneveld.
Great arrows in November '07 saw the 'Hammer' reach the Finals of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolves taking on the 'Power'. Andy was sticking with Taylor with a 107 average after 5-5 in legs but then came the surge from the power eventually defeating Hamilton 18 legs to 11.
