The entertainment capital of the world welcomes back the world's top darts players for the seventh Desert Classic, with Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld defending his title from 30 June-6 July.
The £126,400 ($250,000 approx.) tournament begins with two days of qualifiers before five days of televised knockout action on stage at the Mandalay Bay Ballroom.
The Desert Classic is one of the sport's most exciting events, seeing the PDC's top 12 players and four leading north Americans joined by 16 qualifiers in the first round.
"The PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic produces upsets and excitement every year," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn. "The setting is magnificent and certainly brings the best out of players.
"The open qualifiers give every dart player the chance to win a place in the tournament, and we have players from as far afield Australia and Japan travelling to this year's event to try and achieve their dream."
2007 champion van Barneveld will head the 12 pre-qualified stars from the PDC Order of Merit, alongside three-time winner Phil Taylor (England) and 2006 champion John Part of Canada .
However, 2003 winner Peter Manley faces an anxious wait to hang on to his place in the top 12, sitting 11th in the current PDC Order of Merit going into the PartyPoker.net PDC US Open and next month's Blue Square UK Open.
Tickets cost $22 per day, with a season ticket for all five days of the main event costing $55, with both prices not including applicable service charges and taxes.
