Luck of the Irish in this Tournament !! The darts format is short in the opening rounds which leads to any player who hasn't got that lucky 4 leaf clover nearby falling at the first hurdle and out in the first round which happens now every year with phil taylor now being a casualty 3 times in 2001 (kevin painter), 2004 (andy callaby) and 2007 (adrian gray), the only years he hasn't won the event.

Alan 'ice-man' warriner, Colin 'jaws' Lloyd and James Wade are the other darts players to have won the Tournament.
