In 2016 Colin Lloyd announced he was to step away from the PDC circuit.

'Jaws' was biting back after peaking from '05 - '07 when he was the best in the world in the darts rankings which included a win in Blackpool the Winter Gardens Match Play beating canadian John Part in the Final, this was after a great win previously in the Darts World Grand Prix beating Alan Warriner-Little to clinch a well earned Title.
