Englishman Searle shocks Austrian ace Mensur Suljovic to claim a 3-1 success.

Two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis produced some quality darts in his 3-0 win against Ted Evetts.

Adrian Lewis said "I thought it was a good game. I did feel pressure coming into the tournament.

"I've been playing really well in practice and I'm confident I can do really well.

"Not gonna lie, I wanted to play Barney (RVB). I think he deserved that big match. He has only got a couple of years left of playing and it was sad to see him lose.

"It won't change my approach because it will be an equally tough game against Darius."

Mervyn King produced a great fightback against Jan Dekker to win a tie-break in a thrilling contest. Match finished 3 sets to 2.

Luke Humphries produces an excellent performance to defeat Stephen Bunting in a 3-1 victory.
